A Study in Real Time
So many times I think “if I could just have this, then I can make this”
If that’s a bigger space or a different tool etc.
And as a result of that mindset ideas and projects get put on the back burner. Never to be made.
This study is working completely against that. Working with all the limitations.
Eliminating the need for anything to make something.
I have this small corner in my room - so instead of “I need more space to make more”
The limitation of the small space becomes part of the project.
“If I had this__, then I can make ___”
Eliminating that and working with what I find on my journey of everyday life or items I already have at my disposal.
Items have new meaning, new interpretations, new life.
No friction.
Anything can be the art.
Translating the shapes and shadows I see out in the world and bringing it into a physical space. Even if it’s only for a few moments to document with a photograph and then live forever in that form.
